Based upon that, this tutorial will show by means of a realistic example of use how to continue work with the output of the Python pre-processing pipeline. As an example, the creation and visualisation of figure networks from novels was chosen. This tutorial explains step-by-step how figures may be extracted and interaction can be modellised between the novels. Moreover, it contains an option for interactive visualisation of the created network and shows as a preview, how further analysis may look like. Tutorial for creating of networks of figures in Python
In the context of the project KALLIMACHOS, a preprocessing pipline especially adapted to german-languge novels, was developed. Particularly it contains components for recognition of figure networks and solve of co-references, that is also a part of KALLIMACHOS, and adapted to the domain of literaly texts. A comprehensive description as well as a .jar-file for downloading is located here.
